Hello! I am Caden Kriska, an enthusiastic mechanical engineering student at Florida Polytechnic University. I have a passion for design, and desire to stand on the precipice of engineering and push technological advancement.
Engineering and science are the prospects pushing humankind forward, and we are standing on the shoulders of giants. I wish to use our previously discovered findings to make something truly great. In order to do that, however, I must establish a foundation of knowledge and experience. This is why I attend the university I do, and chose the internships I did: to become a proficient engineer.
My fascination with engineering and technology did start, like many, in my childhood; LEGO, DIY circuit kits, and deconstructing electronics and toys to take a glimpse of how they might work. Things changed, however, when I started building my own things instead of taking apart others'. One such example would be a crude electric generator made from a wooden frame, stick magnets, and a copper coil, all for a 5th grade science fair. I managed to generate a consistent 5 volts! I would love to say I won, but I lost to a baking soda volcano. This did not halt my curiosity, as I am still pushing forward working towards my degree and beyond!
